A Daveyton giant who fought far beyond the ring. From training as a teen at his father’s Red Army Boxing Club to becoming South African Light-Heavyweight Champion and Transvaal Heavyweight Champion, “Special” built a legacy with heart, discipline and a knockout right hand that many feared.
He fought 21 professional bouts - 18 wins, 1 draw, 2 losses and became a symbol of excellence in an era when Black athletes were denied the spotlight. Beyond boxing, he uplifted his community through sport, mentorship and faith.
